Can anyone pls help. I have a import ZX and so the FM radio frequency only goes to about 90. Is there any way this can be changed to normal frequency that we get here in UK? or do I have to buy a new radio?

thanks

You can buy a convertor quite cheaply from lots of places, although I don't think I'd bother unless the head unit is a sh1te-hot one. Migtht be nice to just buy a new UK unit.

I've got the same on my radio - and it IS a bag of sh1te, so i'll be UPgrading to a quality radio like audioline or Saisho :p :D :p

with the radio converter you'll be ok listening to your local radio station, but if you wany anything like Radio 2, 3, 4 etc forget it. Throw it away and get a new one - and make this decision before the guys who are selling you the car drill a hole in the dash to house the converter switch.

good luck

Thank you guys for all your help. I probably will get the new radio fitted in that case

The convertor cost about £ 13 and does not have to be drilled in anyware. It just attaches to the ariel from behind the stereo. The only prob is that the freq band only still displays upto 90 but you will be able to pick up all the stations.

Throw the bichin thing away..:D :D

You can get radio 2 on the standard jap radio, after suffering it for about two months when the stock cd player died i had to get round to fitting my sony in it that had been sitting in my bedroom for months!

I remember taking mine out

i stabbed it with a screw driver about 50 times (oh and stamped on it)
