Guys,

Are there any major differences mechanically between the 2 ?

And what difference in insurance premiums ?

BTW I've just been quoted £602 fully comp for a UK spec Twin Turbo Z what would the difference be for an Import ?

Featured Replies

insurance being the major diff. between the two. I am paying £1250 (full no claim bonus) on jap import, and its a non-turbo. not to mention I have been paying £2,200 for the previous two years

When I was looking for Z insurnace, I found it was cheaper to get insurance on a UK TT than on a Jap NA.

Stuart

Looks like a UK is the way to go then.........

Mine went up £500 because it was a jap NA

I have just changed to NU direct, as they do not penalise imports anymore.

Premium gone down to £389 with Pncb ( £750 last year)

Worth a try!:D

I'm 30 with over 10yrs ncb.......are there any restrictions and I take it that yours is an import !!

Nippon - Yep jap import, as I said they, NU direct, have only recently changed to not penalising imports.

I am over 50, just, full ncb.

but have 7 points on licience,

Wife on car too (2 claims + 3points), 12k mileage, buisness use, coutesy car etc. - good deal.

Give them a ring, all done over the phone.

Whats there number mate for NU direct

how about a beer

A-Plan insurance is also worth a try (0845 071 1234) , they have specialist polices for jap imports
