Just out of interest how many miles do you manual lot get out of a clutch running 1 bar of boost?

Featured Replies

I've had over 10,000 so far out of my AP racing metal paddle clutch. When the engine was out the garage had a look at it and said that while you could tell I'd been drag racing with it, there was still plenty of meat left on it:)

After my original boost increase to 1.1 bar my stock clutch lasted less than a week though:eek: :D

I have twin plate racing clutch and so far over 10k at over a bar for the clutch (not the rest of the engine lmfao) ad last time it was all out , it looked brand new still.

the thing is once you have a clutch with a decent BHP rating ie> 600foot pounds of torque then they will last a long long long time.

but also depends on how you hammer them.

Macca - u know autos are best - these manwell addicts are in de Nile :D

OK - u lose some BHP, the gear changes are not ALWAYS optimal on bends (although they r faster when booted) but it's a much nicer way to drive IMHO

Not against launch control, full throttle shift and carbon clutch!!!

At least I hope not as thats what I am getting:D

Will have to try a few quater mile runs to see if we Manwells can beat you one legged folk!!:D :D :D :D
