I can get a rear spoiler like this?

It looks like I might need to change mine and I quite like this look, I'm not a fan of hi-level 'picnic trays'. :D

Is it the OE MkII?

Any ideas as to how much it would cost?

Has anyone on here got one and could send me some detail pics showing how/where it attached to the rear of the hatch?

Oh FFS!

I just found this.

15 yrs old!!!!

Tim

muhahahahahah, there can't be two Clarkey's surely!!!!

Sorry mate it's a bit early in the morning for me - what are we looking at ?

Looks like some friend of Anita's judging by the pics of her Z ?

Okay, now I'm getting confused. All the pics I've found of late spec 'hi-spoiler' LWB are like the one below:

So, was there a different spoiler for the SWB as all pics of the one I'm after are on SWB?

Another SWB with the spoiler.

How differenet are the hatches on the SWB, I know that they are, quite obviously, shorter?

Tim

Could be they used different spoilers for different markets ?

I've certainly seen the spoiler you want on two Jap import 2+2s sat in a local import garage !

Speak to Luke - he'll know !

That's much nicer Tim.

Heres a couple of (very poor) pics taken from "Datsun 280 Nissan 300ZX" by Brian Long:

I believe the above type of spoiler was used till 1996(both pics of 2+2's).

Then for the later years(or maybe just 1998+) it changed to:

You are a strange one Nelson. I don't like aftermarket spoilers, and this is OE spec, and I'd rather retro fit this later type as it lifts the spoiler off the boot lid, removing the problem of trapped water rotting out the rear hatch lip as I saw on so many UK cars when I was looking to buy.

Thanks Trey, I've got that book, and had forgotten! D'oh! So I've just dug it out.

So, it looks like its going to be difficult to source one if it's been superceded with a later variety. :(

No mate - like I said Luke sells 'em !

Thanks, I'll give ZCentre a ring.

Anyone know roughly how much? I can see the rear panel with brake light is £80 but what about the spoiler itself?

Tim

It's £265 - click on 'Page 2' tab on the link and you can see one fitted.

I like this spoiler too, was gonna get it while my cars in the body shop, but im running out of dosh now!! esp with TC nearly on its way.

D'oh! What a Numpty, thanks Konrad.

So it'll work out at about £550 inc the spraying, Ouch!

A-bluh?

Doh - sorry Anita; looks like I clicked the wrong link !

I did say it was too early in the morning for my brain to function !

Sos ! :D

Ah...you were talking about the Australian Zed that turned itself upside down?

I see....well, mine didn't roll, so :p

Besides, there isn't that much damage on my car, once you look at it. It's only the roof being slightly bowed where the van crunked it that is the problem.
