Just out of interest....

Is there any reason that GPS and PPS don't have a section in this forum ?

I mean we have:

AndyZ for 2nd hand Parts

Smithy for new parts

Bob for Ice and security

Jeff for servicing and repairs

 

But we have no one in the following categories:

Bodywork

tuning

 

Do you think Latz or Johnny and Peter would be up for their own sections. I'm sure they would get a lot more business for the rest of us guys if we got to know them and their work a little more.

 

Can you see where I'm going with this ?.

I believe they were offered the option in the past but declined. Life on the forum has settled down a bit recently, so maybe they would be prepared to reconsider.

I know Johnny was a little concerned about all the agro and general slagging off of companies and didn't want to get his business involved with that kind of thing.

Pretty sure that's why himself and Latz don't come on here much any more.

 

But as Macca says I don't think he was asked about the trading areas.

Was made by a complete ****** that knows **** all about the Z

The group buys Johnny have done have generally been great and I for one have saved loads - the Racelogic TC GB was a top deal.

 

Breather kits turned out to be a waste of time but thats not their fault, they just supplied what seemed like a good idea at a good price (if it had worked!)...

Yeah there have been some great savings with them no doubt.

 

But when how does it look to people when you sell a product (that looked good ) was not tested turned out to be dangerous to engine life - ask me i know lol (direct result of turbo failure was due to that breather kit (that was the consensus) the kit should have been tested and developed properly, it was very badly handled.

I totally agree 100%,the only person I knew that had one of these things fitted well before this group buy was Smithy!

 

Speaking on the phone with him some time ago he seemed happy with it???

I remember him telling me it reduced the smoke out of his exhausts.

As I've said before IMHO the breather kit only worked because the original STOCK system was blocked - since you remove this to fit the breather kit - hey presto no more blue smoke!!!

 

All IMHO of course ;)

 

Anyway forget the breather kits that's old news now... Can we not talk about his ginger hair or something? :D

Everyone has grudges against companies. It works both ways.

I'm not going to mention any names, so don't even bother asking me and I don't want this turning into a guessing game either, but I know some people have had bad experiences with GPS and some haven't been 100% with PPS, but at the end of the day, these two companies get maybe 1 complaint out of 100's.

Let bygones be bygones. I say offer them a slot, if they decline then fair enough, if they accept then all the better.

Who makes these decision on the forum side ?. Is it Craig's sole responsibility or are there a panel of judges ?.

There's no bar to traders having a slot - just drop Craig an e-mail. The contribution for being in the trader's area was slightly bigger than the everyday contribution IIRC but I can't remember how much.
