Anyone know what make of zorsts are on that car ?

I like 'em.

Glad they are ok

Wonder if they're putting those alloys up for sale now- I'd be interested :p

Dave

I hear the Z is weak as tin foil, then I see a few accidents like that on the web and they walk away, which I feel in any other car they wouldnt.

Least they are OK.

Is it a Manual? Has ChrisC found a box yet.?

Stuart

Where did it happen? It doesn't look like a UK car.

No its an Aussi car.

SRRAE- where did you hear these cars are so weak:? they weigh near enough 1.5 tons lol

LMAO Weak:confused:

Head on with an Express Train maybe:D

I heard they failed crash tests. I think it only got 2 stars.

Probably due to lack of airbags and side impact thingies rather than the structure.

From Parkers:

Safety

ABS; no airbags; strong structure.

P.S. Airbags don't do much good when you're going through a field on your roof, only the structure of the car is going to stop you being decapatated.

Thank God for that 1.5 tons of metal round you in a Zed ;)

Also I once crashed my Saxo at 30mph up the arse of a stationary Rover 620.

I had airbags but guess which car fared better.

(I'll give you a clue, he drove off after the accident, what was left of my Saxo left on a truck.)

Having had a head-on in my previous Z, with me doing 30-ish and the other car (a Mazda 323) doing an estimated 45-50, I can confirm that the Z stood up extremely well .... Even though it came to a complete halt in about 20 feet!

(You should have seen the state of the Mazda and its occupants ... but then since they drove straight into me they deserved it .. but, I digress)

A hefty O/S impact could have spelt very bad news for my feet, but thankfully, the bulkhead and wings were solid, and there was no deformation at all under the dash .. I think the impact was absorbed by the roof, it was certainly an interesting "wavy" shape afterwards ....

You can see from the pictures, that it could have been very painful indeed, but I'd say I'm now pretty confident in the construction of our beloved motors! :)

(Apologies to those of you have had to endure these pictures before ;))
