Got my HKS Legal exhaust replaced last week with a Mongoose one fron the Z Centre. I have to say that Luke was as helpful as ever (great bloke!) and CHEAP.....much cheaper than buying direct from Mongoose!:D I did an ECU re-set (disconnected the battery for an hour) while the Z was up on the ramp having the new pipework fitted, and now she goes like stink again. I was starting to 'get used' to the power (it seemed a bit flat especially with a couple of bloody great holes in the old zorst) but now she goes like she should! Oh, and the new pipe sounds lovely too! Not too loud, but a nice deep throaty 'burble', a bit like a V8:D
Oh, and I have been suffering from HICAS problems for ages! I was putting about 1/2 litre a week in the resevoir! I was expecting all kinds of bad/expensive news.....steering rack/pump etc. as there was leaking fluid all over the underside of the car, inside the rim of the drivers side front wheel, and every time I did any kind of high speed, clouds of smoke would appear from the underside as I slowed down:eek: It was traced to ....... a leaking 'banjo' type connector down by the alternator. A quick tighten with a spanner (and two broken wrists later) and the leak has gone! YEAH!!!:D
Also tried to get my cooling system pressure tested as its leaking all over the viscous coupling fan and spraying all over the engine bay. Unfortunately the garage didn't have the right size adaptor for my Jap import radiator:(
Never mind... I'm happy with the HICAS problem and the exhaust being sorted!
