Hello everyone, just signed up, so Hello!

 

Looking at buying a 300 cause they look just so great and have been doing my research :) so worked out, i want a series 2 or a series 3 tt, manual (v important) model (doesnt' have to be modded).

 

Question i got is, how much am i looking at price wise? I was hoping to stay under £6000, but looking at the prices on here, is this being a bit ambituos?

 

Other thing, i'm in london, and a lot of you guys seem to be too, so do you offer a, um, like rent a knowledge days, where you can come and check a car over for me (as obviously i know absolutely nothing about them :))? i'll pay you of course!

And hello to you too, benzx. It's no use asking me for anything mechanical as I don't know one end of a spanner from another. But there is a lot of good info (including buyer's guides) on AndyP's site.

 

I would have guessed that you should be able to pick up a good tidy example for £6k or so - have a search on here as it's probably a good idea to look at forum cars in preference to unknown ones.

 

Also check out the events page - for example I know a lot of the guys went to Bolney today and that's always a good way to meet / get knowledge.

thanks for that, just been visiting it (300zx.org.uk) but all that stuff to look out for just scares me! so much can go wrong :confused:

sorry to add to this, but been reading some more and am a bit confused. parkers claims only one release ever came out, so are the series 2, 3 etc etc all imports and if so, me just lloking at number plate registrations won't help work out what it is will it?

 

reason i ask is after going through the 'differences' page on 300zx.org.uk, i like the changes that came in from s2 (which is why i want an s2 or s3).
