Are useless and look kak,Well they may look Kak to some people that is a oppinion. But they do work! Do a search about the Audi TT and rear spoilers!

Just maybe they'd have sold a load more if they were a bloody sight cheaper at the time ! The new 350Z is going to come in at less than the Z32 of 12 years ago ! Which taking into account inflation (although some car prices have been static-ish over the past few years) still makes the new one look a bargain.

Agreed !

But then the bottom's dropped out of the GT market - sports cars are all the rage now I guess !

Have to admit though I wouldn't mind stepping down in class of car if I could have a 350 ;) (the fat version anyway!)

Search on TT.net with people who have removed the stock spoiler and gone for the no spoiler NA look. They say when you get to over 60mph the back end feels light. Didnt feel safe at all.

But the N/A can do high speeds, but must be stable/safe without the spoiler ? Maybe u r referring to acceleration at high speeds, as the turbo will clearly have a lot more oomph ?

Interesting that we have comments about Audi TTs and GT40, - both correct in that both cars had to have rear spoilers added during (or after!) their development to aid high speed stability.

BUT

Both of these cars had small turn-up spoilers on the trailing boot edge, very much like the original ZX TT spoiler we all know and love (!?) - they didn't feel the need to make these classic car designs look like an American Teenagers wet dream by fitting a set of shelves to the back!

Seems there's a real market for an active spoiler design for the Z. I'd like a spoiler-less boot for trundling and an upturn lip for faster driving - and I'd be willing to pay up to about £45 to have it fitted too!

ha ha!

That would be the ultimate solution - wud fit in with the ethos of the 300 being a techy-car. But it wud probably be a compromise, as the optimum spoiler for different speeds would probably be shaped differently - so we need a morphing spoiler :D

Does'nt an active spoiler mean more mass too?:D

Yes I know that Nige;) The Z does not need a large spoiler for that reason,However I have driven 176mph with and without one,and it is MUCH more stable with it fitted.

Well I love the rear look now with my big rear spoiler!!!!

Geoff.

Show off!!!:D :D :D ;)
