Hi Guys,

I am having huge problems with my Zed. It will idle for about a minute then before you get in to drive off it stalls and cuts out. Now it happened two days before where I accelerated to merge into traffic and I suddenly had a loss of power then pulled over and on the clutch and it stalled.

I have already run ECU Diagnostics and found Code 55 which is everything major is fine. When the engine is running it has a air leak by the sounds of it towards back or near fuel pressure regulator but can't find the leak if any?

Any help would be appreciated as ZED is Dead right now.

Cheers

Does it start when it's cold but then die when warm ?

If so this sounds like the PTU, the most common fault with the Z. As it warms up the segments lift away from the board cutting power to all injectors.

Doesnt it cut power to the coils? Or is it both?

Thankyou for your reply,

I have thought about it being the PTU but the ZED runs for 1 min after first start in the morning and then shuts itself down....

I did have one of the spark plug and coil take out of number 2 cyclinder to test for spark cranked engine over and only a very small spark came out...so maybe it is that small spark and PTU controls it....maybe you are right...is there a way to test the PTU as I don't want to purchase a new one at over $1,100 is a risky guess???

Cheers:)
