Hi Guys

Just fitted a pair of scarab downpipes (version with the silencer in place of the cat).

Before and after fitting I did a run with an AP22 performance meter and measured a 20 bhp gain. The only difference between the 2 runs was an ambient temperature of 15'C on the first run and 8'C on the second. So taking this and possible position error of the meter (ie if it was mounted slightly differently on the second run) into account, I reckon 10 bhp increase would be a realistic figure.

Only trouble is my turbos have started that unhealthy habit of smoking. Oh well, fitting these pipes has just brought the inevitable a little nearer.

I wouldnt say that it made my car any more powerful. More like I got the power earlier down the revs. The turbos spool up quicker no doubt about that though

just had mine decatted with full stainless and the car deffo accellerates better mind you It has the ballance pipe in as well, had the full system made on car at Ascars of sheffield well impressed.

Definitely made mine go better too and have had no smoke yet ether.

Just Bought another Z32 Twin T which has been decated with a stainless (RMS) all through and i have to say it is a lot quicker !! than my other z's in the past and everything is standard appart from the Exhaust so i say there is a BIG diff without a cat .

Not looking foward to MOT next month tho !.

Cheers

Darren

Sid,

How many miles your turbos done - Before de/cat?

hi harve she has only done 39,000 miles so i guess that’s why she dose not smoke :D
