Due to not having a job, losing my girlfriend and being upto my neck in debt I can't afford to run my Zed and I need a car to get around and do my casual work, (the only thing keeping me afloat) :(

How much do you think it'd be worth?

L-reg 94, White, UK TT, 97.000 miles, FSH, Oil change two months ago, leather, body work and interior in good nick, needs some attention to the engine, (idle is rough when warm and some hesitant accelleration sometimes.)

I don't want her to go but I can't afford to run her anymore and I don't know if I'm even going to have a house soon.

Isn't it amazing how quickly your world can fall apart :(

I paid about 6k for it two months ago :(

man what a bummer, thats one very clean zed you have there,

im sure the problems u mention will be electrical, so shouldnt cost a fortune to fix, i'd say its gotta be worth at least 5k,

Cheers bud.

The guy at Zedworld said it probably isn't anything too major, I want to get it fixed up but my girlfriend is going to want her car back at some point then I'll have to use the Zed which I can't afford :(

Sorry to hear this Eric,a real shit, theres a white Z 1993 on Autotrader for £6000,so i would start at that price mate if i was you then come down a tad, yours looks a beuty, dont think you will have much trouble selling it,shame thou:(

Eric

Was that Kris' Z that was sold not long ago?

Thats bad news mate, It looks like a very clean one so i'd say start at the higher side of the price range, after all peple can knock you down on the starting price but you can never knock them up on it!!

TonyC (above) had a few similar problems a while back, resulting in him having to sell the Zed, but now he has bounced back and Re-zedded himself :D

Hope you have a similar recovery, good luck.

Hi Eric real sorry to hear that you are not doing too well.

Wish you all the luck in the future and hope it picks up a bit.

Your idle and hesitant problems sounds like a fault O2 sensor to me. But then it could be a number of things. Best to get Jeff at Zedworld to hook it up to a conZult for you.

Jesus Eric,

I'm really sorry to hear about all your probs m8!

I'm sure you'll easily get what you paid for it , especially if you get it running OK.

It's true what they say, things happen in threes!!

But you watch in no time at all your luck will change and before you know it you'll be back....new job , new car and not new girlfriend....new girlfriends!!;)

Keep your chin up, life is like this sometimes, likes to test us to the full!

Cheers,

F.T.

Cheers all :D

All considering I'm fairly upbeat and doing pretty well.

I'm sure that when I have my job and house situation sorted I'll re-Zed myself :D:D

And needless to say I'll fill my life with women and cars again,

Hopefully lots of both! ;)

I'll let you know how it goes :)

Jeesh Eric:(

Just seen this and remember well how excited you were when you picked her up - feel really gutted for you ....

Hope things pick up soon ... there's far too many bad stories on this forum at the moment .... let's hope the sunny weather will bring everyone some better luck!

Best of british mate - hope things pick up soon.

Looks like a lovely clean motor, though - 5.5 - 6k doesn't sound unreasonable ... at least as a starting point.

CheerZ,

JB.

Cheers JB,

I'm sure everything will owrk out alright in the end :)

its a p|sser when life gets tough enough for the car to have to go :/

Tis always the problem with supercars, it only takes a couple of bits of bad luck and the twinturbo, group 20, 10mpg money sucker becomes a problem instead of a joy.

Dude, I wish you all the best.... that car looks real nice and should fetch plenty of Dollar if you can get the niggles sorted... when you are selling put it up for the max you think you can get for her and pretend real hard that you dont need to sell....

All the best and hope ya luck changes for the better :)

Eric,

Not wishing to profit from your misery but....very interested...!

Drop me a line.

"I'm a fraud. A poor, lazy, sexy fraud."

that Z looks like it's been really looked after. Nice bodywork !

I need to get some fuel in it tonight and I haven't driven it much over the past few weeks.

Who knows after some BMW and Merc baiting in the BMW lane I may change my mind ;)

Awwww.....

Took her out for a spin tonight and she ran like a dream.

I went out and baited eveything possible to race, just to let off some steam :p

A mk1 MR2 got whipped...twice.

And a Laguna thought he'd try to keep up.

:p

So feeling much better now, but I don't know if I can part with the Zed, I'd forgotten how nice it was to drive :)

I've been driving my girlfriends Focus for the past month and it's nice but so much heaver and woolier than the Zed.

The Zed feels like driving :D

Aww hell man,  :( , listen if its got to go try to get it sorted first, you will command higher price that way and wont seem down on your luck (hence not appearing desperate to sell=higher price, easier to bargain ;) ) if as you say you are still upbeat after all this then with that outlook im sure youre life will be full of birds money villas etc in no time, now is mint time to sell t tops too, so sell now, sort job/ life out , then aim to buy new z in winter, who knows you might even get your old one back. Best of luck m8

Cheers mate :D
