OK here goes.. to get your piston to look like this do the following.

1: mines ecu

2: 1.4 bar boost

3: non turbo spark plugs

4: 90 octane fuel.

and whala... one very expensive engine rebuil lol

oh and i fogot, let se play around wiht your engine abit lol

...don't make my life anymore miserable than it already is! MINES on its' own was probably enough from what I've heard!!!

lol only kidding, (but in truth my car never quit ran as well after se had there hands on it.

mines are the best, lol

Holy sh#t...a classic case of what detonation does to a piston..

I've seen Adrie's pistons after he blew up his engine, but this is much worse..

although with his pistons the part between the rings was blown/broken away as well. (makes you wonder..)

Suspect yours cost a bit more to fix though smile.gif

F**king hell Andy, was that on the Z you've got now? That's some serious meltdown if ever I've seen it!!! Unbelievable when you think that is solid metal, scarey stuff!

Now I understand why forged pistons cost so much...serious!

This was no meltdown, this is oil starvation. See those two lumps to the front - they were valves (once). Seized open, piston comes up, crash, bang, wallop, big holes, big mess, clatter, clatter etc.

This actually happened twice to a bike I had years back. Was doing about 90 at the time !

Oh Oil Starve eh? Yeah, I know all about that, I have a receipt for nearly 2K's worth of work on my engine b4 I was lucky enough to get hold of the car.

But what got me was that Nissan knew about this, when they went through completely redesigning a new engine for our cars they did encounter oil starvation problems. Obviously they sorted some things out but couldn't be arsed with others! Cost related probably.

Just don't drive round corners so fast that one side of your engine receives NO oil whatsoever while you're boosting at 14 PSI large...OK?
