B Go for a petrol one?

 

C buy a goat?

 

D build my own custom one using a Tesco shopping trolly,with a Skyline engine dropped in:D

We have quite a big garden (180' x 25' or so) and had a flymo. It used to take ages to cut the grass, so last summer I went out and bought a self-propelled petrol Honda for around £350.

 

It now takes 1/4 of the time and was well worth it in my opinion.

Whatever, get one that collects the grass cuttings, then no matter how long the grass gets you never have to sweep up the cuttings afterwards.

However, if you mow the lawn as infrequently as I do, you have to stop to empty the bag every 30 seconds! :mad:

I bought a 2nd hand petrol jobby 6 years ago, suffolk punch, through local trade it paper.

Great, still going. paid £45 for it.

Make sure you get full service history! if you go 2nd hand.

Severe maintenance schedule - change oil every year,check plug gap.

 

Those sit on ones look good- Turbo maybe!

I have a Mountfield with a 4 hp Honda engine, self propelled and it's the dogs bollox bud. Although while it was in storage between moving house some Rottenweillers who will remain nameless chewed my grass collector which is now phuket! Need to get a new one. :D

 

Flymo = w4nk!

 

Goat = will eat more than just the grass, will have Mrs Mac's skimpy kecks off the line along with your M&S Y-fronts! :D

 

Petrol is the way to fly. ;)

Just sharpen up the bottom of the front spoiler on the Z and drive accross the lawn......simple an' cheap innit?
