Visited Elite wheels today and they were as useful as a chocolate teapot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

All the guy said was, the amount of wheels available for Z's in that size was limited, as if I didn't know that!

 

So which make and model of wheels are available for the Z in 10x18 ?

 

I did like a wheel that sounds like a German Porn Star, Leon Hardiritt, Bugle, LOL, but I didn't like the price!!!!

Have a look on Z Centre - he's got lots of wheels.

I looked recently in R Tech, St Albans and they only had one wheel that would go - it was really nice - Hi Octane, H147 Hyper Silver & mirror lip.

That is because most alloy places are now just there for boy racers who just put alloys on for the sake of it.

 

I know some one with a Pug and put 17's on. He said he thinks it handles better, but then lost the back end and then said he didnt know, and is now wanting 16's

 

That is the type of person who alloys places make their money from. There are 2 reasons why I want a new set of alloys. Larger for larger brakes and wider for traction. Most places can help with the larger but look shocked when you want wider.

Mucho dinero I think. Have to be made to order in Germany. Maceij has them.

Weren't they around 3-350 each, that seems to be the average price for these sort of wheels!

Azev has loads of wheels to fit 300ZX in 10" width, i.e. Azev A or Azev LS (i personally love the LS-2piece wheels).

 

The best wheels i have ever seen are Trafficstar DTM but they are around £600 a rim :(

 

Wheelmania are doing Pacific wheels which aren't that bad and have a split rim look but they are only available in 9" width for £900 a set without tires.

 

Kerscher have beautiful wheels in 18s (8.5" fronts and 10" rears). Luke (Z center) can get them for £1150 a set (without rubber obviously:D ) but they are 2 piece rims and IMHO they would look awesome

Don;t the 18x10 on the back stick out at all ?

 

I don't really like the wide rear arches but I would like aset of 10's on the back.

I have Antera 18x10 with 275/35 and they don't stick out at all. Could possibly go up to 285/35 without any problems. I like the stainless rim on them but if you scratch it you're buggered. You can't get them refurbished over here. The only option is to send them back to Italy (like that's gonna happen) or get a new wheel, which is what I'm gonna have to do!:(

Make sure you get a set of tyres with the rim protection feature.

It has saved my alloys from getting scrateched many a time.

I know Fulda, Bridgestone, Toyo? have it and a few others.

 

You can fit 295/35's on a 10" wheel :D

Not if the offset is correct. In fact the wide arch kits usually rely on the wheels having spacers.

Does anyone know of a website that gives a good basic description of wheel sizes and tyre sizes as well as what will fit what.

 

I have limited knowledge of this subject, just really know tyre sizes and wheel diameters.

 

Offsets, spacers etc start to go a bit above my head.
