I take it that was 6th in GT300 class not 6th overall?

Are there any factory teams still running skylines? or have Nissan stopped that now they're no longer in production?

Seems odd that Nissan have gone from the massively successful Skyline to the less-successful Z series (350Z). I guess it may be due to the fact that the 300ZX WAS a success in countries other than UK/Europe.

Yeah GT300 class, the skylines are still running, came second in first race, much better than the Disaster of a season they had last year, i dont think they WON a single race.

The Supra that won has a V8 in it? lol

I would say they are using the zed becuase they probably arent allowed to use the skyline as a basis for a gt car anymore, as they have no current model.

But it does looks very very nice!

I know that the 300ZX actually did well in the La Mans or some other 24 hour race with the same cars. I think it came 6th overall which was top in its class and beat quite a few cars in the above class too.

The older Z's had a go at rallying too.

I meant more of a commercial/reputation success rather than race success.

I bet most of it is because the engine is such a bitch to work on.

the zed series is the most popular sportscar ever made. Far more popular in sales than the skyline ect world wide.

i think what most people forget is just because performance mad people rave about skylines because they are so fgood at extracting power out of, does not make them an instant seller world wide hence why they are not a massive seller in comparison to Porshe ect (even though internationally they are the same price)

plus of course the fact it looks like a brick wall on wheels lol
