After all of this trouble trying to find out what was wrong with my HICAS, I reverse off my drive an I notice my HICAS light light it on and a puddle of Steering fluid on the floor. I drive back on to the drive get out and notice that there is a trail of fluid. It id pouring out. I will have to have a look tomorrow when it is light. Hope it is not too bad? Any one have any ideas what it could be and will it be easy to fix?

Stuart, as we have pretty much determined that you dont have hicas any more, then the leak should be quite easy to find and diagnose.

i would think, it is either at the rear end where the pipes should have been capped off when the rack was removed, or it is not hicas related, just normal power steering related.

you just need to check all of the hydraulic lines and joints to find it.

once you find where it is, then i'm sure more help will follow smile.gif

I know that I dont have 4WS. just feel its ironic after the past couple of days. Prob, will just be a split line or some thing. It started leaking all of a sudden. No warning. This something as come off or worn away.

I'll tell you what it is, when I find out

It seems to be coming from the back left of the car. Online with the back wheels. Gonna juck her up later and start the engine to see where it is coming from.
