Knowing how a Z likes to eat rear tyres I watch out for prices.

In recent Autocar there is a co called "The Tyre Company" surprise surprise in Nottingham - has some apparently excellent prices.

stock wheel 245 45/16 SO2 @£132ea and for 18s 265 35/18s from £99 for Falkens

prices inc VAT and delivery but not fitting.

Any comments guys?

I think my 1cm of rear toe in is now cured so might invest in new ones before the current ones turn to slicks.

A recent quote from Micheldever :-

225/50/16 z so2 £99.87

245/45/16 z so2 £116.32

these prices are fitted prices inc vat

for mail order take £6.40 from price, but then add carriage at £7.34 per pair of tyres

I have just ordered a set from MJP at fractionally less than this.

Unless you really want them, I would reccomend paying a bit more for for a better tyre.

I went from Falkens to Bridgestone S02s and got a drematic improvment in the wet and dry. My S02s are also lasting longer and I now have more power...

And with all this talk of speed cameras they'll last for ever... 8(

I have Falken's on the rear at the moment.

Couldnt run to Bridgestone's ect at the time.

they are supposed to be harder wearing but with the same traction rating 'AAA'.

Grip is good, predictabe break away, BUT

they are wearing like buggery!

OK I hoof it from time to time, it's hard acceleration in low gears that kills em I guess.

I paid £155 for a pair to fit stck wheels in January, but will look for something better in the coming months.
