Hi

One of the down pipes is blowing just before the join with the cat. I'd like to replace it with a good old straight through setup, bypassing the cats (e.g. scarab front downpipes supplied by the Zed Centre). However, the standard downpipes appear to have a big pipe connecting each of them to what appears to be the water cooling system??? However, the Scarab downpipes appear to make no provision for this connection.

Is this (water??) pipe just blocked off?

Likewise, the sensors that attach to the cat, are they left unconnected?

Thanks

Jon

Alright mate,

Saw your post and thought id respond, luke at the Z centre fitted me a full system, using the scarab de cat pipes and mongoose cat back system, i thought the same bout the pipes, but from what i can see under the car the pipes are just removed, and you will be left with the hard pipes at either side of the wheel arch,

My cats are gone, and i have had no probs wiv the sensors at all, think they just send data back to the ECU, if the cats start to heat up, due to excessive unburnt fuel entering them, and then the ECU will cut power output, or something like that.

The response after having the system fitted is far better than the stock system, and Luke offers a price, far better than i found anywhere else, only takes him bout an hour or so to fit them too.

Good luck mate,

Paul

Thanks Paul.

alright stu mate,

Hey well i got a good price on the system, and compared to the £1100 i got quoted from silvia, for the same thing, i reckon it was a good price.

Jon if you do get it done check the turbo outlet pipes, after its been done, cause my passenger side one came loose and rattled like the fan belt had came loose, horrid... sorted now,and more boost, fun fun fun.

Jon, one thing to add, give me a shout if you need directions to get to Lukes garage, cause its a bloody nightmare to find, well it was for me anyway, junction 26 off the M1 i thinks, then head for town, then head for Nottingham city/county football ground, not nottingham forest, its litterally opposite the footy ground behind a Shell petrol garage, and opposite a small retail park.

Good luck mate

Paul
