Hi,

Looking for some information about the Rim Edge Protectors that a number of Tyre Manufacturers add to the outer sidewall (Toyo, etc..).

 

I am thinking about S03s. The Bridgestone S02s use to have this protector, but does the replacement S03? I think I remember an old post hinting that it may have been dropped?

 

Appreciate any information about the S03. Also about alternatives, as I think I will need this extra help (narrow road parking, etc...).

My Fulda Extremo's have this and it works well.

Pretty good tyres too and quite cheap.

The DS G3 GY Eagle F1 has a rim protector, and once the tyre is fitted it doesn't stick out like they used to...

There is still a rim protector on the S-03's, but it's smaller than on the S-02's. I guess it may be something to do with different compounds, tyrewall thicknesses, temperatures etc.

Falkens have them, which I have, in fact I think most performance tyres do.
