R33 Brembo caliper torque settings?

What is the correct torque setting for the 2 big bolts that mount an R33 Brembo caliper to the strut?

Many thx,

-Andrew

I would have thought the same as standard? Maybe ask for the torque figures on the GTR board. Just make sure they're nice and tight :) Clean the thread and use some threadlock too ;) New caliper bolts usually come with threadlock compound already on the end....

Andy, service manual has standard torque setting at 72-87 ft-lbs for stock iron caliper. This torque feels rather high for an aluminium caliper and threads. I want them to be tight but I don't want to strip the threads!

Yeah I was thinking along the same lines - is there a difference though in the manual between the iron calipers and the ally ones???

Andy, not that I can see. The stock rear alloy calipers have threaded steel inserts for the mounting bolts. I don't know if that is the same for stock front alloy calipers but it looks like it could be.

andrew - autodata says 85Nm, which is around 61lb ft for my 93 zed
