i know the lever is so that you can move the stick if you don't have the keys in the ignition or your foot on the brake, but the problem is that i can move the stick without touching this lever :confused: :confused:

mines the same - ho hum!

I think that means your shift lock isnt operating properly, you should also be able to hear it click if your standing stilland you put the brake on, it could be that the that the plastic bit is sticking on the shifter and might just need a wiggle to free it.

 

When I was fitting my razo shifter i noticed that if you you didnt position the stick on the shaft in just the right position it could cause the shift lock not to work, so by the same token if your gearnob has slipped up or down the shaft by as little as a millimeter it can affect the shift lock.

 

But be careful if you take it apart!!
