oh yeah only just saw this post.

If you need things like Bovs. Talk to Jason on the z32.co.uk forum.

Works out much cheaper than UK prices as he gets them shipped form his contacts in the states.

Now I know what BOVs are for, but don't they stop your exhaust from making those delicious overun noises when you lift off the juice?

How much turbo response increase do you really get from them?

Hi FairZXTT. Sods law! After looking for ages for BOV's I finally found some cheap TurboXS ones and bought them about 2 weeks ago. Would have loved to get the HKS ones but they were too expensive. If only I have waited a bit longer. Cheers anyway. Doubt you'll have any problem selling them one here though for that price.

Where did you get them from Britonc?

And if you don't mind me asking, how much were they?

Cheers,

F.T.

I got them off ebay for a company called Extreme PSI in the USA. It's the full kit and rated to about 35psi and very loud!! It was $360 inc. shipping and insurance which works out at about £225 + £50 VAT and import tax. Still a good price though as the kit is about £380 over here. They may not look as good as the HKS but they are really well built.

Well I fitted my HKS's in place of the recircs.

I bought them to get rid of the goose honk.

To be honest I can notice a quicker Turbo response when giving it some larger, but I can not notice any difference through normal to hard driving.

Stuart, have they got rid of the 'goosehonk'? and if so what noise do you get instead?

Cheers,

F.T.

P.S. They look very nice by the way!!:D

I also have that awful goose honk hence getting the BOV's. Hope they will cure it. How easy was it to fit yours?

Stuart, I see you fitted yours the sme way as I fitted mine - have you read the HKS instructions (well looked at the pictures as they're in japanese) where they tell you to remove the entire front of your car! :D

Funny. TurboXS instructions say the same thing.

Tony,

Yes Goose honk is now toatally gone. When driving softly ie.e not hard acceleration, I gess a nice gentle shsh sound, very hard to hear even with all the windows open.

However when I give it large I get an almight TSHSHSHSHSHSHSH which sounds like someone has just smashed the top off of a fire extinguisher :D. I love it.

britonnc,

It really was a piece of peese to fit them. see my site for instructions on how to fit.

Adam,

YEah the JAp instructions were a little cack. I did want to get the bit about, how the screw on top works translated. Funny thing is I did actually take the front bumper off, but that was because I had a head light to replace and I also wanted to clean all the lights and mesh the front grill. It still would have beena piece of peese to fit them with the bumper on :D.

I would suggest taking off the air con fan so that you can get to the back 12mm bolts on the old recircs, but that's all you need to do.

Just talking about the goose honk I just realised that mine seems to have dissapeared.

It was a pain but now you guys brought it up again I haven't heard it in ages. Strange?

I think it might be since fitting larger intercoolers but not too sure.

Ah yes, goosehonk.

Sometimes I think you guys are treying to wind us non-technical people up!

What the **** is a goosehonk sound and what causes it?

Now I read about it I need to know!

Obvious isn't it it's a honk that sounds like a goose!

I think it is some pressure difference on either sides of the recirc valves or something, not too sure, but you know when you have it.

Sounds like someone blowing over a bottle very loudly.

Usually occurs whilst psi is traveling from - to + or vice versa.
