Thought I`d tell you all about my good news!

With Lifesure right now and paid them £1300 last year (30 year old, no NCB). Gottthe renewal notice through today and they wanted just over a grand for this years premium.

Was ringing round getting a few quotes (anything from £1800-£950) and tried Carole Nash. They quoted me £359! Yup, a saving of around 700 squids. Its a classic policy too, so I can add the NCB from last year on the policy fo my everyday driver.

Asked the guy why it was so cheap, asked again, asked to have the details faxed through to me.....looked at details and can`t find the catch.....is there a catch with classic policies?

Happy...happy....happy Zedder!!!!!:D :D

I believe the catch is that you have a 2nd car, and you do!

Only other thing is yours an import and if so make sure they know it, otherwise well done mate you can now spend the money on buying me some Z bits, -helping out with the Z community and all that :D

Git! :D - I pay over £2k, 23 with 1yr NCB, good postcode mind

Worth every penny though :D .

Should come down when I renew with limited mileage, 2nd car policy etc, hopefully!

Cheers

Pete

I am the same age and my quote with Lifesure was about the same. Make sure they realise its a Z32 not a Z31 !! especailly if yours is a late '89.

That is why I asked chappie to fax me the quote details over. It all looks exactly as it should. 1991 Imported 2+2 TT: cost of premium = not much.

Isn`t it a bugger though that when something goes well I have to ask what the catch is? I`ll let you know if all goes south but for right now it all looks good.;)

check for the following on your policy (some do - some dont)

mileage restriction

exclusions on theft cover - usually outside your house between 2200 - 0600 if not garaged, or within a certain radius of your house (1/4 mile or so)

any other exclusions!

I have got my current storage insurance with Carole Nash (car off the road for a few months whilst it gets some tender care and attention) and they were by far the cheapest.

I couldnt find a catch with em mate!

Nick

I pretend to work, they pretend to pay me!

What were 'Firebond' or 'Bell' insurance quoting?

> requirements

10k miles.

MUST be garaged at night.

& have 2nd car.

harve

i'm with carole nash limited mileage of 6000 miles alarmed and immobilised parked on drive full breakdown cover no catches

Andy

forgot to say the price was £270

Quick guys, I need the Carol Nash number 'cause I might be buying tomorrow.
