Help, I'm at work and need to get my number plates done up, so does anybody know what size the rear number plate should be to fit (japanese import).

Finally found somewhere that'll do the plates up given the measurements, but I haven't got time to go home and go to this place in my lunch hour.

Anybody remember from when they did theirs or have access to their car at the mo'

Thank you, and there's a drink in it at the next meet :)

The US style plate is the same size as the Jap spec.

Xtreme in Harlow made mine up for me.

If its the J'Spec rear with the hinged holder still attached then the plate is...

320mm x 150mm

thanks guys,

off to get my number plates made up at last :D :D

Had mine done by http://www.fancyplates.com

Size for rear was 330x172mm and they fitted perfectly

I also requested the 62mm high letters as they then look 'in proportion' for the oblong plate.

My local Halfords did mine.

Considering it wasn't the 'UK' size, they had to be ordered, but all I got was the usual warnings about UK letter sizes... blah, blah, blah !

Anything a bit more fancy then a more 'specialised' company is needed.

Don't forget your proof of ownership !

IIRC Fancyplates are located in N.Ireland and don't have to adhere to the same regulations as were introduced to the rest of the UK on Jan 1st !

350x170 fits my series 2 jap, bigger than others here but it is a PERFECT fit, so maybe you should measure yours.

Carnoisseur in Bedford did mine... £30 took 20 minutes, if that.. was a while-u-wait service... proper custom plates, front's been changed to the motorcylce square style, and back plate to fill out the sapce with the holder.

Mine cost me £19.00 plus a few pennies, for the rear, custom size, and the front. Serck Services, trade only though.

Does anyone know if the American size is legal on the back (Jap import). Looking at Courtesy, I really want one of those NISMO number plate surrounds.

Regards,

Brent
