Seems to be a national trend to get replacement wheels for the Zed but I really quite like the originals (think its the Z logo in the centre that does it for me) but mine are quite tatty

Anyone here had a refurb job done on stock wheels and if so, what kind of results did you get?

If you take them to a good place, they should look as good as new.

Hi,

If you're in the Birmingham area at all then I can recommend a company called Lap-tab

They have refurbished the wheels on two of my 300ZXs and have done a very good job.

They chemically strip, sandblast and then powder coat and laquer the wheels so they look like new.(depending on the original condition of course)

Cheerz,

JEZ

Yup, me too. Got them powder coated in silver about 3-4 years ago and still look great. Only take 10secs each to clean as well !

I used a local co. down my way to re-rurb my standard rims, ยฃ25 a wheel, used them again to re-furb AND change colour on my 18's (check my RIDES, "snow", then "myZ") Each time they came out like brand new......I'm sure you wouldn't be disappointed.

Had mine done by a company called "Wicked Wheels". They will come to you and do the wheels in situ which is good if like me you need the car every day for work. Considering this, they didn't do a bad job but I would hazard a guess that you can get a much harder protective coating if you get them done properly.

Cost about ยฃ50 per wheel but mine were in a awful state (not surprising for 150k+ miles I suppose).

Sodding High Wycombe car parks (high kerbs on narrow ramps) have done theior bit since so they need to be done again
