I recently was advised to see the real difference with air induction the exhaust needs to be upgraded first so that intake output is effective.

Comments please?

I had my air filter first and it made a massive difference to the engine running. It was smoother as well as faster. The exhaust (Mongoose) made a difference but not as big.

Usually it's seen as getting as much air in first with an induction kit, then the exhaust next, as Ivan said, you won't really see an improvement with a modded exhaust on stock airbox, even then a modded zorst second really only performs better rather than improve performance, if any it's so marginal.

Look at it from another point - your stock air filters are probably ready for relacement anyway. Do the intake first and you will notice the most improvement as the engine will be breathing better.

PS Intakes are cheaper than exhausts anyway ;) lol

a performance exhaust also has the benefit of looking good from outside, especially when they are chrome, 4 or 5" drain pipes.

Thanks mates - I suppose I can't go wrong anyway with air filter first! But there's still so much I want to do to ZX. The rear spoiler should be on in the next few weeks. So I'll go from there.

Cheers,

Geoff.
