hi everyone checked the fuses by the throttle and they are ok so my problem is elsewhere also i don,t know if the circuits are the same but the alarm for the speed warning also has stopped working and the warning beeper if you leave your lights on , when you open door. one final thing if you switch your headlights on, the ambient digital readout on left hand side of dash completely goes out , all these problems occured all at once working one minute then not at all . also tried the dimmer switch . anyone who has any ideas will b mucho appreciated cheers cully z:confused: :confused: :confused:

Worth removing the light switch from the pod (two phillips screws below) and checking the connectors have not worked loose.

I have a 86 zx with digital dash-lighting for the clock+gas gauge and occasionally entire dash system fades or blanks out completely. Local dealer is useless.Anybody have a similar problemor idea on a fix? Thanx jeff m

you have prob got it sorted by now but in case not there is a 10amp fuse in the fuse box by the throttle pedal above a 7.5 amp mid row check it out it may have blown
