Its a 1990 UK TT.

Well not knowing what you were quoted for me a uk spec more or less standard would be £350 year with full NCB aged 44,import would be around £550,but if its well modified then around £800-£900 ;)

Thanks Tony. I have been quoted £428 for unmodified with 14,000 miles per year. I'm also 44 but had an oops where I killed a Ford Fiesta last year without even a scracth to my Zed

Sounds about right;) by the way you in Stockenchurch as in near Aylesbury!used to live in Waddesdon till i was 23,then moved to Aylesbury, visit mate in Quainton regularly, went through Stokenchurch recently to Haddenham, used to be lovely places ,dont know if i would say that now!

Yep, we've had two murders in Stokenchurch over the past couple of years:( . At least they were at the other end of town :) and anyone breaking into my house has to say Hi to my 3 Graman Shpeherds first :D. I'd move but the Zed means I've never got enough money.

Lifesure for me...........£348 !!! on classic policy, must be 2nd car, must be 30 or over, must be garaged.

This inludes mods and the fact it is Jap import.

Woo-hoo, cheap as chips!

Lifesure for me too, classic policy, 9000m per year, only car, garaged, age 39, import, intake & exhaust mods - £400.

Lots will depend upon postcode though.

That's because you are only a pup Jaffa !!!.

When you get to our age (well James and Tony's age LOL). You're days of £k's for insurance are over.

I'm only 30! -and you're not far behind rat boy!

I have been there though and paid around £2k for my Renault 5 GT Turbo when I was 18!

Oops - posted this to the wrong thread originally :D

Just had a call from Lifesure for a price on insuring a UK 300ZX TT, which went like this;

"Is it an import?"

-"No it's a UK car"

"Oh. I thought the UK cars were just Turbo, and imports Twin Turbo"

-"Erm no, from 1990 they were all Twin Turbo"

"Oh. What colour is it?"

-"Black"

"Hmm. What's your best quote so far?"

-"About £1050 FC"

"Hmm. Nope, can't help you because of your age"

I almost laughed at the imports vs. UK cars bit!

How old are you Aaron? They started out at £650 for me because they had assumed mine was an import, but who cares as long as they get it right in the end. Also got the price down by putting the wife on the policy

24, which means high insurance despite a clean driving history, no convictions, no accidents (touch wood), and 5yrs NCB and driving since 17..

Being under 25, and as it's my only car, I don't qualify for either their cheap import or their classic car policies.. D'oh
