Hello everyone,

I intend to underseal the car this summer and am wondering how I can get the car high enough to jet wash then apply the underseal into every nook and cranny. Any ideas?

Cheers

Hello mate, I did contact him - £390 + vat = about £460 + petrol to get to him.................gonna end up around £500

The correct air gun is about £12 and then the sealant is gonna cost me about another 20 quid............

See why I want to do it myself?:D :D

cheers Tony. Do you know if they fully clean the underneath (and rear arches) before they do it?? Just seems a very good price..............

...why do you want to underseal the car? If it's like mine (jap) then it's already coated with a thick layer of ruberised paint (don't know what it's called) and you might be better off spraying everything with Waxoil. I do this once a year (late summer - easy to scrape off the dried mud) by getting the car up on 4 stands (I know you are not supposed to do this) and thinning the Waxoil with white spirit and spraying it everywhere with an old paint sprayer. Seems to work ok. Keeps the rot away too. Could even do a detter job that undercoating as you don't have to worry about getting it on the brake lines etc...

good luck

Jack

I don't know,I had my Z done there and also the misses's Pajero and it seems fine.

May be worth ringing to find out.

I found thru experience, that if you wait for your oil cooler feed pipe to corrode through, you get the whole underside and wheel arches waxoiled qute nicely...if you maintain a steady speed!:D

You might damage your turbos and engine though! :(
