Well, those bastards have done it again. Got this from a good friend of mine today...

 

For those of you who travel up the M6 regularly please note the following:

 

Just to let you all know, M6 Jnc18 Roadwork's. SPECS has been installed

and will be live in about a weeks time There are 4 dummy cameras and 2

working pairs so beware.

 

SPECS is the system that monitors the time it takes your car to travel

between two fixed points. It's fully digital and can process thousands of

tickets an hour. There's no point in slowing down when you see the second

camera as you'll already have been nicked!

 

You need to all watch these; not that I think any of you speed...

So what if you go past the first one at 90 and the second at 40. The average might be about right. Do you get done for the 90 ?

 

If it's done over the average then there might be a slight advantage if you happened to be overtaking something (like everything ) past the first and then pulled in and slowed a little by the second. With a conventional camera you definitely get stiffed for the speed you went past that camera, no matter what the excuse was.

Apparently this doesn't matter. It's not an average one. These are new technology that so far aren't in use anywhere. Whatever speed you go through either of them, it hets you for the fastest, ie 90 thru 1st and 150 thru second, they'll screw u for the 150. Mind you, My Z is restricted to 112mph officer, eh Tooley?

You'll probably find that this system does instantaneous AND average. Best way I can see to get round the average is to do a stop on the hard shoulder straight after the first camera for a second - then its a nice practice quarter mile before slowing for the second

Raz passed first SPECCY twat then pull over just before the second and log a breakdown call. Wait for RACoons or Yellow Erics to come out and then glide passed second SPECCY twat on the back of a flat bed...large!

I dont know if this has been mentioned before but watch out for sneaky dibble that hide in the back of Council Vans with a loverly radar camera. Fuckers got me 88 in a 50, I'm waiting for the points.. Bring em on! Anyone know a good way of wiping clean a license without destroying the DVLA?

"Lose" a clean licence and get a replacement, then you got two, one for everyday use and one for Sunday best !!!

dont worry lads a plan with some of my associates is already in effect just wait and see what the cameras look like after this weekend they're about to all have accidents of a ballistic nature.......the grassy knoll will play some part in it but we wont be in any book depository

actually stopping isnt as silly as it sounds the cameras dont take your speed as you go past the first one all it takes is the time and then when you hit the second your exact speed can be averaged by the time taken to pass between the two so as silly as it sounds it might just pay you to break down in between if you do see the camera but are blatting past
