At the moment its been one of those weeks that seem like a bad dream! :(
Havent had the chance to drive the Zed for a couple of weeks, but got the chance last night. Took her out for a long blast down the A2 after warming her up though Shooters Hill and Welling, shoot down to the Bluewater turn off and come back the other way down the A2, go down to the Dome as they have some nice empty industrial roads to do some acceleration and braking tests (she was hesitating on full throttle from 80 down the A2). Did some short 0-40 tests on the empty road then had to do a 3 point turn to get back, on turning I missjudged the length of the Zed and height of the kerb (been driving my Golf for too long) so... crunch goes fiberglass front!...shit!....reverse off the kerb...more crunch and fiberglass grinding :( Oh well I had to get the front fixed and painted anyway so I was resolved to that thought!
But tonight I had to reverse into my drive, I was busy cursing the idiot who parked so close to my driveway I had to 'snake' the Zed in that I didnt realise how close I was to the wall till....eeeeeccchhh! type noise of the rough wall digging into the side of my Zed! :( So I now have a 3 foot dent-come-scrape down my driver door and rear quarter!!
Now normally I have a few dents and scrapes on my trusty Zed of 4 years but those were done by other careless idiots during the commute around london! Its quite a sinking feeling to see the damage I caused due to not paying enough attention while driving the object I most covet (apart from my misses!) :)
Thing is not sure how I'm going to get it fixed as I havent been able to find a job in the last two months, so it might have to be a case of credit card the repairs and pay the minimum till work surfaces! :(
Anyways just needed a 'forum' to vent my frustrations and this the best place to find like minded Zedders who would problerly feel the same way as I, if they had damaged there Zed out of there own actions ! :)
