Hi

Just noticed that I have a couple of bulbs out. One headlight bulb has died, so I'll take the opportunity to get a pair of brighter ones. What do people recommend for this - I don't want any problems accociated with 100W ones I've found searching, just a little brighter. Do Halfrauds sell 'em or it is a case of mail order cos its an import?

Also one brake light is v dim, I haven't investigated this yet, just been told by a mate who was following (or trying to :D:D). He says there is some light, but not much. Again, can I source these bulbs easily? How many are there per brake light?

Sorry to those people with bigger probs :( , I'm sure I'll have those in the future.

Cheers for any help

Pete :)

Hi Pete

I changed my stock lights to a 100w which caused all wire connection to bulbs hardened up.. n lasted for only 3 weeks.. right now I'm using a philips xenon white 55w.. better than the original stock lights.. but still not to my satisfaction..

I've been searching at car yards for either lexus or subaru wagons lights.. which run on some kind of ballast system...

i was also recommended to run relays onto to headlights... heard itz freaking bright... but might not last..

no prob with my brake lights yet...:p

Have a word with Leigh (on the forum here somewhere), he has some 80w bulbs which are a direct replacement for the originals and offer a good compromise in terms of light/heat. Quite a few people have them now and have reported to problems as far as I'm aware.

If you have a dim brake light bulb then it is very likely that you have an earthing problem rather than a faulty bulb.
