hi folks,

decided i have enough funds and can justify a bodykit for the zed. Spent ages on the zedworld site, and know exactly what I want.

trouble is there is no way i can get up there and back - impossible, also dont want to order it all by m/o and then get some yts kid given the job in a reputable garage down here (yes, i know we all need to learn - but not on MY car;) )

so... anybody know either a very good garage south of london competant enough to undertake the work OR any other manafacturers of bodykits down here who supply/fit fine and dandy extras to make the car look even more mental??

all help appreciated

Hello Vicky,

It seems that most people (including myself) are using P.P.S to fit and spray bodykits. He's all the way in Co. Durham but he's worth the journey. I travelled up from London and I think he's worth the wasted couple of days. He does a great job and he's half the price of certain others.

Get the bits from the Z centre and have them shipped directly to Peter (P.P.S) - you won't be dissapointed!!

vijay - thanks a lot for the advice and recomendation, but there is no way I can get up that far at any time - i know im gonna be pretty stuffed whatever i decide - failing that silver hammerite and superglue sunday afternoon:eek:

thanks anyway

I'm in the process of sorting this myself.

So far I have narrowed it down to two, when I find out more I shall reveal all!!!:D

Cheers,

F.T.

hi tony, when you say you have two, is that suppliers of alternative kits, or fitters - at least give that much away - you know you want to - go on......;)

seriously, whats the story because i want the zed done real soon and done properly....

Well........

I've got some bodykit and was thinking of getting some more from Luke at Z Centre like yourself. So I've been looking around for a decent bodyshop to paint and fit it .

My extensive search has revealed two very good ones.

One is 15 mins away the other about 30 mins away, like yourself I don't fancy driving all that way to get this sorted.

One has been recommended by my mechanic who had his Supra done by this guy (in magazines etc.) The other is my neighbours cousin who used to work for Maclaren and now works for himself.

So as you can see....not backstreet car sprayers!!

Cheers,

F.T.

I suppose what you have to consider is that you will only ever have a bodykit fitted to your car once; apart from a couple of unlucky people on the forum who have had botch-up jobs fixed up. (Vijay/Tezza?).

I could not recommend PPS highly enough- the extra money you pay for travelling up to the North East will be more than offset against the savings you make on his low prices, and also knowing that you will get a good, no, actually I mean GREAT job done!

He's done around 15 Zeds now  so he has plenty of experience with them!

Good luck whatever your choice.

Dave

BTW, which kit are you going for?

cheers Dave, I was just getting over all that.....................:D

Vijay

i am thinking of kit 5 on the website, not too ott but larey enough;)

if i had the cash, would deffo go for 'the shark' but way better in silver as we all know:D
