Had a look at a Zed today that was for sale. It's exhausts looked like slightly bigger versions of the std system and had Jasma written on them. Does anyone know anything about these, for example are they straight through?

They sounded deep but not boomy!

Thanks

Jon

Hi Jon Jon,

Got a pair on my car which were on it when I bought it.

They are just back boxes rather than a complete system with hks type chrome ends.

You are right they do make a deep throaty exhaust note and are not too loud inside the car either. All in all not a bad compromise.

Hope this helps.

Cheers,

Dean.

ive got these on mine too

Jasma, Im fairly sure...is a japanese standards authority thing, a bit like a british standard.

japanese automobile sports muffler association they are called.

either that or youve got a sewing machine on your car.

iirc these are the ones on our car, the sound deadening material collasped in them, the passenger side one seems to have ejected the whole lot out the back, drivers side one just has a mess in it though, sounds allright though :)

jasma is the testing agency, my back boxes are made by jasmO.

aint got a clue, i tried searching on the net for jasmo when i wanted to find out a bit more about them but i found fvck all

I've just tried it again, looks like it's searching just on the 'exhaust' bit of "jasmo exhaust":( :(

  • 1 year later...

Says JASMA on the rear boxes and has two single 3/4" pipes...If I get a mongoose exhaust is it going to make it quieter cos its VERY loud in my opinion at the moment? Also is it going to need just the silencers changed or the cat back? I dont know how to tell?

Thanks,

Rob

I have some of theese too, am replacing with a mongoose so should have a set of em for sale soon, got to get em off first!

The silencers are chrome and have a LARGE single outlet..look good.

They are in good condition and sound good, not too loud. will record them if anyone is interested.

Mine are different to the pics posted.

Clarkey...nice link mate....whats it say? :)

yep thats wot mine are like, ill be selling mine too soon if anyones interested, be getting a mongoose to stick in the back insted

yep i got em too. sound good and agree not too loud in the car either. BUT same as above the stuffin has come out of em. i give it to the missis to wash the pots. not too happy

jasma isnt the make of the exhaust , if i remember correctly its the kind of like testing certificate, or saying that it conforms to certain regulations. mine have got this on it but i have since discovered the actual make of the exhaist.. fujistubo apparently.

Im sure they are a manufacturer which make zorsts for jap companies, a friend of mine bought a Z and the chap he bought it from said it was HKS, also HKS on the receipt?

His has also decided to eject the stuffing from it lol, sounds ok though.
