The one sitting directly in front of the secondary (leccy) fan is for the airconditioning. If there is another one positioned in front of this one (i.e., closer to the front of the car), it could be a transmission cooler (if your car is a J-spec automatic).

Mind when you remove it you'll put another hole in the ozone layer when all that freon gas escapes!

There is also the engine oil cooler in front of that and the tranny oil cooler in front of that also if its an auto

As you will need the Aircon system recharging when you reinstall, I suggest you save some money- and the atmosphere by finding a good specialist. Most will discharge the system, saving the gas for reuse. They should credit you with the weight and when you return means you will not pay again for that gas- lots of money!

Change the drier at the same time as recharge- Aircon specialist will do it when system recharged & checked.

They should show you where the pipe joints are- take care to put spanners on both halves of joints as pipes soft and will twist/ strain easily.

Removal self explanatory then if you look for 10mm bolts on support brackets.

Main Rad easy- once hoses disconnected top & bottom- save antifreeze if good & strain back through paint filter- look for the two black brackets on the top of rad- unbolt & rad slides directly upwards.

Not quite so easy on a car after a full frontal smack though- is it Andy!

Good Luck

From what I read/have been told the gas inside a air con system is quite poisonous! Be careful.
