I know this is not the right place, but--

Will all the Bristol and surrounding areas Zed people please own up!

The idea is to have a local meet in the near future.

There are 3 I know of at present.

Yewcheck, Carl and myself.

Any others think this is a good idea?

Bagins, thanks for reply, hope to see you then, bound to be sunny!

I was down there this Sunday for quiet drink with me Mut, GSD Natahan.

Unfortunately the olde Lock and Weir was still shut, has not openend since last lot of flooding, however Chequers still going strong, but busy.

Suggest all those that are coming, get there early, especially if you want food without too much of a wait.

For those who dont know the location - see above replys for directions etc., there is plenty of parking and places to sit by the river.

Hope to see lots of Zeds then.

Hi Raydetinu,

I take it that the Chequers is in the same place as the Olde Lock ??

Yep, Next door, but is raised, therefore not affected by the high water.

The pubs and a few houses, plus boats are the only things down there!

Cool see you there, best get the polish out saturday then :D

DONT FORGET THIS SUNDAY 23rd AT THE LOCK and WEIR/CHEQUERS at HANHAM, BRISTOL 12.00

Sorry about the shouting, just wanted to make sure everybody heard me.

see you there:D

I'll be there too, even though the Z is still running badly.

Carl

I won't be able to make it unfortunately :(

This month has financially wiped me out so I'm having to be ultra conservative which I guess means not running the Zed unless I have to for a week, and not going out :(:(

Still in a couple of weeks or less things will be back on track, as long as nothing to big breaks on the Zed ;)

So at least I'll be able to enjoy the car and start fixing it up :)

Eric, sorry to see you wont be joining us.

Rare opportunity to miss! To meet with other local Zedders and chat, get first hand advice etc.

You wont have to travel too far either.

Hope you change your mind when you see the sun shining.

Still, if this one goes OK, I am sure we will have other local meets through the summer?

Hope you get out and about soon

Well we met, 5 of us, one forgot to bring a Zed.

So there were 4 zeds down by the river side.

Good chat etc.

Thanks to Brittonic ( Carl), Emero (Dianne), Sedgeworth, and Bagins for turning up.

All agreed a good Venue for a meet, a pity more did not turn up.

Will try again later in the year.

At least we can put some names to faces.

:) :D :D :)

Took some photos but can't attach.

Membership subs on their way then.

Dianne you really must get you pipes cleaned.

Next local meet will be at the Japfest on 17th May at Castle Coombe.

Hope to see you there.

Ray,

Sorry about sunday started doing something on the Actator pipes

at 8am so i could get it done by 10.30 to leave for the meet , but split a pipe and had to wait till 10 for halfords to open to get a new pipe and well had a knightmare really , wish i had not started playing with it as it took most of the day to sort out and did not cure the problem.
