doesnt do it all the time, but most nights it crashes at leat once, always when using internet explorer. Basically it just hangs, task manager says internet explorer not responding, so i have to close it, then the pc freaks out and i have to "restore my active desktop". this happens a fair bit, is it possible i have a duff internet explorer? i'm running version 6, would i be better going back to 5.5? oh thats another thing i tried to do, uninstall version 6? dont make me laugh, if i try to uninstall it using the add/remove programs thingy, i only get the option to repair ie6, no uninstall option, what a load of poo. And no, it didnt fix it. also if i try to load ie 5.5 it says" newer version already exists so you cant have it"
Is there any decent free software out there along the lines of mcafee first aid or something to help me get sort these probs out. ive tried bigfix and fresh diagnose.. both pretty useless. the only one i found so far is pc doctor on call, that found loads of probs but guess what.. it was a demo version and to fix your probs u gotta pay.
any ideas anyone?
