It started on Tuesday, nice drive out with my kids, then after a little while I noticed the temperature gauge was on hot.Anyway to cut along story short ended up at a petrol station waiting for the AA.Steam p*ssing out everywhere! He thought possibly the thermostat was up the creak.Eventually got home andthe next day ordered a thermostat from Nissan.

Today car seems fine, picks up thermo from Nissan,go to work etc.

Driving home then the belts start squeeling and steam starts to appear from under the bonnet.Pull into hotel car park and wait for AA.Try topping up with water only for it to pee all over the floor!Yes,you guessed it the water pump has gone.

Don't you just love these cars!!

Cheers,

I know how you feel. Mine did the same 2 weeks ago, hopefully it'll be fixed next week. It's shocking how quick the gauge goes up isn't it?

Vijay

Thats why I got an after market one.

My after market one show 40ºC when the dash is just moving, and when the dash is in the middle, the aftermarket one shows 60ºC. So there is 20ºC difference from the bottom to the middle of the dash dial.

However, my aftermarket on has got upto 80ºC when in slow moving traffic and the dash hasnt moved. Again a change of 20ºC which is shown on my after market gauge, and shows no difference on my dash.
