Automatic Gearbox??

doe's anyone know any where i can have my auto transmission over hauled at a sensible price...its a low milage box so it would need slight attention....and is there any way of cleaning or freeing a sticking gearchange soleniod...my second gear is not functioning due to a soleniod possibly sticking...as box overheated during a long run...Cheer's

I know just the place mate and its the only place i take my zed coz hes worked on loads,its a AUTO BOX specialist so he knows his stuff.you will probly have to ring him up and book ya car in coz hes usally busy.

thanks mate.....i am not too pleased right now...as i have only had the car 5 mnths and its only done 49000kph from new it has all history with it and was imported last year.....not a good start ehh?....i have had a single cone k+n intake kit fitted and a hks ecu and boost jets to take it up to 13psi it was not long before the box played up after the mods especially when o/d started to slip over 10psi .....

Im not suprised yor not happy.

 

Where did you get your HKS ecu from and how much are they and when they are fitted does it need remapping or can it just plug straight in???????????:confused:

it just plugs straight in...i ordered it online from the U.S....Quite simple to fit

i venture into the 'big smoke' a few times each week, so i'll keep an eye open, is yours standard/spoiler/alloys etc. Pain in the arse getting into town at the mo because of the roadworks on millbrook road:mad:

not totally standard...has stock alloys and spoiler though...has k+n intake fitted and boost jets and upgraded ecu...what about your's....

stripped down my auto transmission saturday while on the car ..mainly dropped the control valve system down and stripped and cleaned it right through....did a few resistance test's as well....all was fine so had a look at the brake band and noticed it was quite worn and there was too much free play,,,so tit looks like this is the problem...if any one has ever had a brake band replaced could they let me know how much they paid out and who they would recomend......the z is still driveable i have 1st gear and 3rd it misses second due to the band and have o/d but that slips if you try to put your foot down more than normal....
