How do I get myself an avatar??

As I am completely computer illiterate,can anyone explain to me -very simply - how I get an avatar cos I'm embarressed by the blandness of my posts;)

    Click on "user cp" top left little blue boxes, then click on "edit options" then scroll down to "change avatar" at the bottom. You can choose one of the standard 4 but can only insert your own (oo-er) after 250 posts!

    buy them from e-bay, or from an avatar shop, or from a bloke at a boot fair selling avatars, or from a mail order avatar specialist, or on the avatar black market, or from argos, or from the duty free shop in gatwick airport or................................. i'll get me coat :D
