Well doesnt need much explination what this topic is about, but feck me what a difference changing the fluid did.

My brakes have felt a little spongy lately and I changed the pad and I thought I would completely change the whole of the brake fluid while I was at it.

The pads that I too off where only about half done, but the fluid that came out wasnt in the best condition, ranged from the dirty brown to green

Anyway, not the pedal feels lighter and more responsive. The slightest movement on the pedal the the reaction is instant, I can also brake harder now before the ABS kicks in and when its does its only needed on 2 or 3 occations.

Before pressing the pedal harder would not cause any real change in the braking rate and then all of a sudden it would lock up.

If you are changing your brakes soon, I suggest that you completely change your fluid. It took nearly all of a 1 litre bottle of fluid.

how much does that much fluid cost then? Getting the pads changed before the car goes back on the road so new fluid seems like a good idea, I guess its still on the fluid it came with from new.

I think the fluid I got was only £8 or so.
