there are none lmao.

300GTO is very pretty, but thats about it.

Drive both and make your mind up, ill bet you end up with a 300zx.

love the looks of both, but in completely different ways

One looks like a pimp mobile, the other has class!

At least I've got a hair cut. ;) :p :D:D

.

might i suggest that if you want to know about serious issues relating to cars, in particular the 300zx, you post more wisely. I am sure there are lots of car related forums and BB's out there that can help. ;)

Email a guy called Henri Le Hir (search) he has both cars and knows his stuff.

I think the GTO is the only other Jap car in the same class as the which is heavier than the Z.

Stuart

GTO seems to be driven by old men lol

I think it may be different in other areas, but I see loads of GTO/3000GT round here and I can go weeks without seeing another Z.

I like both but as far as I am aware, here in the UK, GTO is more of a nightmare in terms of finding specialists that can look after it when it goes belly up.

GTO is more complex than a Z!

Parts are extortionate in price aswell.

If you want a sports car,get a Z!

If you want a grand tourer get a GTO!

Simple....eh!

F.T.:D

I hear that the GTO is harder to modify. Something about you cant chip it or something.

It is very electrical, I think all you do is turn the wheel and the car car does every thing else ;)

I bloody hope so to Stu, I've heard of driver involvement but you wanna get out the drivers side window...crawl down the bonnet and move the wheels yerself??? :D :D

cool, u've confirmed it then, a zeds the next car.

and all the rest ofu made good points as well, didn't really know much about the gto other than 3l v6 tt and looks pretty as someone said earlier.

i was gunna geta zed instead of a s13, but i needed to have failry good petrol consumption ( above the teens)

otherwise i wud of had one, the insurance was gunna be cheaper, guy @ ins co, said it was cuz underwriters cud do it cheaper if its an older car, i was looking @ a j 91/92 gunmetal grey ZTT in braintree for £3500 but also was looking at the m weg 200sx s13 and also the petrol consumption involved and took the 2hundy @ £2475 and insurance was £300 dearer so was onbly gunna cost me an extra £700 outright if i brought the zed but doing 300-400 miles per week iwas gunna get foooked with the bank

I'd ask the same question on a 3000 GTO forum to get both sides of the story ....

but we all know you'll go for the Zed in the end :D

Think is if you go to the GTO site they will just say how good the 3000GT is and we will say how good the Z is.

s'kinda why I reckon it would be best to email Henri, knows his stuff to be honest and would give you unbiased info.:)

I followed a GTO home the other night and to be honest it doesnt do much for me, the 300zx has far far more presence on the road.

ya could always get a Skyline though, they might look like Ford Mondeos but they sure can provoke hatred from Iain, Timmy, Paul, which has got to be worth it on entertainment value alone ! :)

LMAO:D Oh you do babble shit oh scruffy one,now why the fook would I hate a Skyline you fool?

Must be on an attention seek again FFS:D

I think that both cars have good and bad points, and looking at the specs of both, and very different in design, the zed wins on looks without doubt, but loses out in safety when flooring it,not having 4x4 drive like the GTO,i have on one occation driven a friends GTO and the way you can chuck it around is awsome, having 4WD,4WS,4ABS and ECS,but its the looks that kill it,as the article in Japanese Performance stated"For all its grunt and grip,it feels somehow to bulky and heavy for even a grown up super car",and thats the thing, its not a sports car the 300zx is,was designed to be,and even after 13 years it still looks bloody awsome, sleek, the right road poise, flowing shape, 100mph standing still!,the 300zx reminds me of the Ferrari GTO from the early 60s,its the shape, and its a drivers car,the same applies to the 300zx,the looks will never die, even 20 years from now it will turn heads,ok looks are just half of it,but it enables you to forgive its shortcomings in other areas becouse of looks alone, not many production sports cars can cause your blood pressure to rise and have a high enjoyment facter when giving it some!I love em:D :D :D

Nothing worse than a Zebra marching into a Lion pack acting all big and tough eh? :D

LUNCH! :D
