Why are there 2 electrical wires going to the bit the seatbelt buckles into on the side of the seat??

I know its not one of those lights that tell you youre not wearing a belt as i never wear mine, but get no lights on the dash:confused:

perhaps your warning lamp bulbs blown, cos mine comes on!

& you really should wear one. saved my life once.

On mine if you turn off the ignition with the seat belts still on, then there is definitely an electrical type clunk from down near the reel somewhere and I'm sure the tension changes slightly.

I presume this is some sort of more sophisticated inertia control tha you get on some belts.

The 300zx doesn't have seat belt tensioners does it ?.

We were going out the other day and I realised that I had left the battery disconnected after rewiring my temp sensor.

The mrs was strapped into the passenger seat when I reconnected the negative on the battery and at that time she said her seat belt tightened as I did it.

I didn't think we had these fitted on the 300zx or was that just a coincidence ?

I think you've just found the 'Ejector Seat'!!:D

These Japanese think of everything!

If there is a tensioner, where is the fuse/mechanism?

I think the 300zx JPSEC has tensioners.

But I might have dreamed it
