Money Coaching

Admins - hopefully I'm not breaking any rules with this post and it's in the right section!

I've recently (Mar 2023) started a coaching business where I empower individuals and couples with young families to overcome money stress and be more confident and intentional with their finances. I've already got a few great clients but I'm looking to market myself more and realised that I've not mentioned it on here to all of you lovely lot!

Why did I do this and why should you care, you might ask?

Before I had kids I was adrift in life and goals and my money was no exception. My attention would flit from one passion project to the next (*points menacing finger at 300zx*😅)and I paid no real consideration to the long term. If life was like a game of snakes and ladders, I was on the final straight to the finish.

Then I became a father and almost overnight I felt an immense amount of pressure to have a plan. For the kids future - their education, their first home, their savings; and for the family's future - our retirement and our standard of life. I had to know our money was going to set us up for success. I'd landed on a snake and found myself right back at the start with the whole game still to play.

Fortunately I have a background in finance which I was able to leverage to fast track my learning around personal finance, financial independence and investing. I came up with a plan for our family to become financially free within 5yrs. A way for my wife and I to cut back on work to maximise the very limited time we have with our kids before they start to prioritise time with their friends over time with us.

We can't be 100% certain of what life will throw at us or our girls but we're so much more confident now that we'll be able to handle it and that our finances will remain stable. None of this would have been possible without creating a plan for our money which removed the daily stress and worry of decision making and wondering whether our long term goals were still on track.
