Can anyone tell me the location of the temp sensors and air conditioning control unit, or where the info is on the online manual, I've looked but can't find. I've done the AC diagnostic and it checks out O.K. I think there must be a faulty sensor, keeps blowing out the lower ducts and very little out the centre duct, I'm freezing!

There are 2 sensors.

1 is in the nose of the car telling you the ambient temperature. The other is behing the vents near the interior light between the T tops.

That is the one which detects the temp inside the car and the adjusts the heat accordingly to maintian the set temp on the console.

Thanks' I thought there was more than one sensor that determined the interior temp, one or more at floor level somewhere and the upper one you mentioned, to determine whether the upper or lower vents open?

Peter,

I think you're right. There are a couple of sensors in the dash aswell. The vents on top of the dash has one sensor. Can't remember where the other couple are.

Thanks

Isn't the sensor on top of the dash a photocell to detect how bright the sun is on the car? Thats proper climate control, not just air-con:D Dontcha just love Z's?:D

Any ideas where the controller is that checks these sensors, I've found the bit in the manual that tells you which connector points to check on the controller , but where is it! Do you think that the photocell that detects how bright the sun is realises that in winter the brighter the sun is, the colder it gets (U.K.spec weather, Japanese spec car)!
