Titanium key arrived 2day, is there another way to get it cut other than to base it on another key?, is there somekind of serial number for the locks??, it's a Jap spec 1990!

You can normally get the lock number off the lock barrel. However, on a J spec you might not be able to read it for obvious reasons!!!!

Apparently, having spoken to Nissan main dealer, some J'spec keys have the lock numbers stamped on them UNDER the plastic covering, but this will obviously mean ruining one of your existing keys, and ther is no guarantee that it's there.

 

rather strangely my J'Spec keys had the 4digit code stamped at the bottom the of blade.

i got my nismo key cut by taking it to the locakl locksmith , he noticed that there was a number on the original key, he looked it up on computer and made me an original .......

 

Look carfully u might have a number there to ,,,, i never notived it myself ...

oh yeah mine is 93 UK TT, maybe it's something they started doing after ?
