In memory it stores every thing on the screen, sites, colours and window locations.

They made animated gif of some one moving and jumping round.

While this picture is moving round, your memory is still storing information about every thing on your computer incuding the that window position. Lets call it "iExplorer-shakeitbabe" So any commands to "iExplorer-shakeitbabe" refers to that window.

Now remember that "iExplorer-shakeitbabe" already has a load of data that you dont think about, the size of the window, the location and stuff.

On that site there will be the animation on a timer and commands on a timer. When, for example the animation gets to frame 50, which is when he hits the the right wall, there would be command saying in the background where we cant see,

"iExplorer-shakeitbabe" location = "iExplorer-shakeitbabe" location + 20pixels right.

So it will move the Internet Explorer window named "iExplorer-shakeitbabe" 20 pixles right.

Same when he goes left, up down or any direction.

Its got nothing to do with the computer knowing which side he is hitting, but 2 programs timed together 1 running the animation and 1 changing the location of the window.

I know it doesnt make sense but I understand :confused:

Hehe

He dies of a heart attack after 22 minutes ;)

hehe not far off stuart ;)

its a flash movie that calls a javascript function. if you view the source of the page you can see the javascript functions that move the window.

here is an example:

function moveleft(){

parent.moveBy(-3,0)

}

the call to function moveleft() will move the window (the parent) -3, so 3 pixels to the left. moveBy() is a method available to the parent object.

to move right 3 you would use moveBy(3,0)

up 3 moveBy(0,-3)

down 3 moveBy(0,3)

hope that helps and yes i have just got back from work and still in IT mode :rolleyes: but you did ask ;):D

off to the pub now
