Hey guys,

I am regretfully selling my Z!

I have it up on autotrader (2006 Silver Nissan 300 Twin Turbo Manual 3.0 for sale for £16,000 in TELFORD, SHROPSHIRE (autotrader.co.uk)) and it's been up there for a couple of weeks now but I've had no calls or real enquiries. Would you say I'm in the right price range?

Any recommendations on where else to advertise it or how to sell it?

Thanks!

I read as if you're wanting 15k.

Some more pictures would help.

If it's as clean as it looks then I think it should command 15K, buyers of these will be limited, patience might be needed.

Not a fan of you putting 2006, certainly state though that this was imported date, although this is unlikely to be causing a problem.

Is it an early 1994 ?

Is there a good way for me to tell if it's an early or late 1994?

And 2006 is on there automatically from the information autotrader found from the reg which would be it's import date. I'll see if I can edit it to a more accurate 1994. I'll put some more photos up this afternoon!

Not a fan of the 2006 thing too - please ask autotrader if you can change. I would post for sale on eBay as well - you’ll probably get more interest. Whenever I’m looking at Z’s for sale in UK, I look on eBay and a lot of the eBay 300zx’s, won’t be for sale on autotrader (like mine). I found my Z and my daily driver on there and sold cars via them before. I know people slate them but I’ve always had plenty of interest whenever posting items and not really had a bad experience.

Also potential buyers would want to see a list of more bits of works you have done to the car, and include notes which show the cars been looked after e.g how regular oil changes were. So you mention the lots of little bits done to the car - maybe elaborate on that.

Just my view on ads anyway. Having read the advert for my Z when I bought it (that was more of an essay), I was sold on the car and the owner, before I’d even spoken to him or seen the car in person!!

Personal opinion only - I don't like it when sellers mask the reg. It tells me they are hiding something and leaves me with no way to check the MOT history. I'd also want to see a lot more pictures, particularly of areas we know are problem spots for this car and especially if you are claiming it is in excellent condition.

Thats fair enough, I might unmask the reg then, nothing to hide. The last MOT only had a couple of advisories on it which have been dealt with.

It is genuinely great condition. I'll be putting more photos up this week, which areas specifically would you want to see pictures up on there?

Rear wheel arches (inside and out), side sills for rust (front, back, inside & outside), pictures of underneath for rust and to see what has been crushed by bad jacking habits, battery box area for rust.

These are a start to list most common Zed problems
