Hi Guys,

I have been a 200sx s14a owner for nearly 17 years now. Always liked the 300zx, love the look and the idea of a twin turbo engine!

I think I want to get one this year. Couple questions. What are the most common issues to look out for? And.. can the NA lump be turbo charged? Or should I just get a turbo to start with.

It's seems there are manual NAs available and auto TT lol

Apologies if these are commonly asked questions. Feel free to share links to any threads that cover this. Meanwhile I shall go have a look now.

Ps. I had a 370z Nismo V2 which I bought brand new in 2017. Sold it last year. Also have  a civic type r fn2, toyota mr2 roadster turbo (which I turbo'd) and a Corolla T Sport.

Welcome to the Club!

Go with a TT manual. It is where most owners want to be. You have the choice of 2+0 or 2+2's from Japan (JDM) or 2+2 UK spec.

Bodywork condition first consideration. JDMs (imports) are usually (but not always) in better condition for their age compared

to UK specs as the Japanese don't salt their roads.

What sort of budget are you playing with?

How much should I be looking to pay for a TT manual?

I dont mind getting stuck in with bodywork or even some minor welding.
